Steam Punk
I’m sitting on a train from London to Liverpool, and it reminded me of a shoot I did a while back with a very handsome actor called Henry. This is him.
Henry is a big fan of steam punk, that aesthetic that speculates on an alternative world where steam-driven machines and a more Edwardian approach to design dominated over the electronic modernism we have instead come to know.
So as I sit on one of Richard Branson’s overpriced Pendolinos, powered by a mixture of electricity, greed and government subsidy, I can’t help but think that my journey to Liverpool might have been rather more elegant on a steam punk train. I’m sure that Henry would agree.
